Mykal Curtis Williams

Mykal Curtis Williams (aka "Mykal Curtis") born Nov.11, 1983 in Buffalo, New York. As a child, he dreamed of becoming a superstar. Growing up watching his father perform with multiple major artist inspired him to peruse his dreams of becoming a phenomenal artist.

Mykal Curtis contributes his style of music from listening to artists such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder and Jocdeci, to name a few. This created the desire for Mykal Curtis to become a musician and producer: "One day I was helping my aunt clean up at church and I found my uncle's old guitar and asked if I can play it. That was the start of my journey".

After some months playing guitar, Mykal Curtis was given a bass. Shortly after, Mykal Curtis was "gigging" at churches, local clubs and weddings. As a high energy and passionate performer. His electrifying bass licks and aggressive but smooth playing gave him a unique style and distinctive sound.

"Seeing the crowd respond to my performances as a bass player made me want to try singing and making my own music. One day I grabbed the mic during a show and I started singing a chorus of a song. Not taking it seriously of course, but that gave me the drive to become an all around artist".

After releasing his first single, "Out your league", which He wrote and produced, Mykal Curtis landed an interview and write up with Soul Train.

Since then Mykal Curtis has had the privilege of opening up shows and performing with R&B, Pop, Hip-hop and Gospel artists such as B.O.B, Fantasia, TLC, New Edition(BBD), K Michelle, Seven Streeter, Ruben Studdard, Erykah Badu, Talib Quali, Rudy Currence, 50 Cent; and Gospel artists Dorinda Clark-Cole, LaShawn Pace, Ted and Sherri, Ledessa Brown, Ladonna Mole, Bishop Eddie Long, and the Total Praise Choir. Mykal Curtis has also shared the stage with Comic greats Katt Williams, Dave Chapelle, Chocolate, ToneX, Lavell Crawford, and Stephen Shepherd among others.

Stay tuned... this is only the beginning for this star in the making.
